A team bonding day with a difference
Practical conservation, time outdoors and something your team can be proud of.
We will work with you to design a day your staff will love - and remember for years.
Coppicing, tree planting, fencing or pond restoration: a day outdoors on a site actively managed for wildlife, near Crawley and Gatwick. Activities depend on the season and the work the reserve needs. The work is real, the impact is lasting, and if the team comes back in a season or two, they can see exactly what they achieved - still there, and still growing.

Days are tailored to each team's physical abilities and preferences - construction projects for some, ecology monitoring for others. No previous experience required, and all tools are provided.

The shape of a day
Every day is designed around your team - this is a typical shape.

Arrive, coffee, walk the ground
Coffee on the grass and a short site walk to see where the day's work sits in the bigger plan for the reserve.

Safety briefing, tools out
A proper briefing, tools issued, teams formed - then the first task begins with guidance from the team.
12:30
Lunch, and not-work
Lunch in the marquee or out on the grass. Rounders is usually the favourite; making sloe gin or rosehip syrup works just as well!
14:00
The second push
Back to the task with the end in sight. This is where the tangible output starts to show.

Stand back
Walk the work, take the photograph, take the credit. The output is yours - and it stays.

Finish - or stay into the evening
Ask about seasonal evening activities, subject to suitability and availability.
